Much to the amusement of my Tutor, David Wyatt, I saw the Pink Floyd tribute band (three times!). I did try to explain that they were playing main venues and not pubs but he wouldn’t have it!
Apart from the great music, David, I found the lighting and presentation at the beginning of the concert visually interesting. You can see from the first picture (below) that an opaque curtain covered the set. During the opening track, band members were successively lit from behind creating a giant shadow on the curtain – see picture two.
It reminded me of a similar technique employed during the MacBeth play at The Chichester Festival Theatre.
