CAN Assignment 3: DSM-5 308.81

Viewing synopsis

The title for this conceptually based series ‘DSM-5 308.81’ refers to the section within the psychologist’s ‘Bible’ which sets out the nine criteria for the diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).  A person would be diagnosed with NPD if they exhibited five or more of the criteria. 

The series seeks to promote discussion and understanding of narcissism by inviting the viewer to guess what each gesture might mean. They are shown in the order contained within DSM-5 308.81.
